We can’t decide on what theme we want for our 2022 Summer Reading program.  Go to our website and click on the survey on our home page to vote!  www.morrisvillepubliclibrary.org. Voting ends October 1!

Our pumpkin coloring contest is back! Stop in to the library and pick up your entry starting Friday October 1!  You have until Saturday October 23 at 1pm to turn in your creations for judging.  Open to toddler to 6th graders!  Winners will be notified on Thursday October 28.  (Please note: we will not judge any left at the library after 1pm on Saturday 10/23. All entries must be brought inside and not left in the book drop.)

We will be continuing our take-n-make crafts through the fall and into December.  Open to kids ages 2-15, while supplies last.  October crafts come out next week!  Make a Halloween mask or a goofy pumpkin face magnet or do a Halloween sticker scene.

Our October book discussion books will be available October 4 for checking out!  Read the book, The Vanishing Half by Brit Bennett, and post your thoughts on our Facebook event from October 18-31, 2021!  Or just read the book because we know you want to!

Join us Wednesday evenings at 7:00pm as our Library Manager, Michelle Rounds, reads on Facebook Live, James and the Giant Peach by Roald Dahl! Fun for kids and adults! (This will run September 1 through October 13).

The Library will be closed to observe Columbus/Indigenous Peoples’ Day on Monday October 11, 2021.  We will reopen Tuesday October 12 at 10am.

The Morrisville Public Library is open Monday, Wednesday, Friday from 12pm-7pm, Tuesday and Thursday 10am to 7pm and Saturdays 10am-1pm. FACE COVERINGS ARE MANDATORY inside!

Our September book discussion books are still available now for checking out!  We are reading, The Light Between Oceans by ML Stedman.  Post your thoughts on our Facebook event from September 16-30, 2021!  Or just read the book because we know you want to!

Stop in and grab some good books at our Fall Book Sale on Saturday September 25 from 10am-4pm!  Stock up for winter too!  Can’t beat the prices!  We will have adult and kids’ books, DVD’s, books on tape or CD, music CD’s and more! MASKS ARE REQUIRED for all who enter!

Our Summer Reading Program, Tails & Tales has ended for the summer!  We had 57 kids sign up and 16 adults!  34 children graduated!  They are: Emerson and Esther Armstrong, Liam Bradley, Veronica Branch, Serena Chesebro, Declan, Jeslyn and Tayden Church, Aviana Clark, Brayden Clark, Esther, Joshua Wayne and Levi Claxton, Mulann Dolkar, Kaydin Dutcher, Holly and Jack Galanis, Gavin Joslyn, Alexia Lollman, Arianna Markowski, Hunter and Ryder Matteson, Anthony Meyer, Maci Moot, Jayden Ortman, Kaidence, Kamryn and Khloe Osier, Joseph Reed, Travis Rounds, Josephine Russell, Marlee and Paislee Stevens, Tashi Woezer.  Congrats to all the graduates!

BIG NEWS!  Starting Tuesday September 7, our hours are changing!  We will be open Monday, Wednesday, and Friday 12pm-7pm, Tuesday and Thursday 10am-7pm and Saturdays 10am-1pm!  These are our NEW winter hours!  (Summers we will still be closed on Saturdays from Memorial Day weekend through Labor Day weekend.)

Due to Tropical Storm Fred, we postponed Illusionist Leon Etienne to Friday September 10 at 6:00pm, OUTSIDE!  Face coverings and social distancing are not mandated for outside programs. (Masks and/or social distancing are optional by you, based on your comfort level.) Bring your own chairs, blankets, etc. to sit on as the library will not be providing anything. Remember it will be outside so plan for the weather- temperature, bugs, sprinkles of rain, etc.!
