December 26, 2012

Due to our Library Programmer’s immediate resignation to be a full time mom, we have cancelled several programs in January and February.  Please check our website for the up to date list of our current programming.  We are sorry for any inconvenience.

Come learn Tai Chi Chuan with Morrisville State College Professor William S. Snyder on Monday January 7 at 6:30pm.  He will be doing this class for free every Monday so teens and adults; this is your chance to learn this and have fun!  If you cannot make that day, he will be here again on Monday January 14.

Kiddies Korner will meet again on Tuesday January 8 at 9:30am to hear the spectacular story by Jan Brett, The Mitten and make one to take home!!  If you can’t make that day, join us January 15 to hear stories about snowballs and snowmen!

We will be showing the movie, Ice Age: Continental Drift on Friday January 11 at 6:00pm.  Bring the family in for popcorn and this enlightening tale!

Don’t forget our Annual Canned Food Drive for the Morrisville Food Pantry!  This starts on Wednesday January 2 and goes through Thursday February 28.  Please help us make it better than last year!  Not only will you be making a generous contribution to our food pantry, but for every item you donate, we will take a $1 off your outstanding fines!

We will be closed from until Wednesday January 2, 2013.  We hope you had a wonderful Christmas and have an excellent new year!

We are having our Christmas Ornament fundraiser now until this Saturday December 22.  Buy a Christmas ball and decorate our tree together!  They are $1, $5 or $10.  We will personalize each ball with the purchaser’s name, or someone you choose.  Honor a loved one or a deceased relative.  Be part of the library family today!!

Celebrate the beginning of the winter season with games, a few crafts and snacks at our Winter Solstice Party this Friday December 21 at 6:30pm!  Bring the whole family in for a fun celebration to kick off the school break!

Ring in the New Year with us on Friday January 4 at 6:30pm.  A New Year marks a time it celebrate new beginnings.  Bring the family and help us to ring in 2013 at the library!

Saturday December 15 at 1:00pm our writer’s group will meet again!  Get your creative juices flowing in this fun group!  Call Josie Howlett at 893-7032 or Cathy Nagle at 527-1627 for more information.

Our next book talk will be on Friday December 7 at 12:00pm.  The book being discussed this month is The Uncommon Reader by Alan Bennett.  Bring your lunch and join in the discussion.  Copies can be picked up now.
