Summer Reading is coming!  This year’s theme is “One World, Many Stories!”  It’s all about our world!  Stop in the week of July 5 and sign up!  Get your bag of goodies and start reading the summer away!  Program ends on Saturday August 13 and kids ages 1-17 are invited to participate.  Anyone completing at least 10 hours of reading, will be invited to attend our graduation ceremony complete with prizes and ice cream sundaes!  New this summer is we have an Adult Summer Reading Program too!  Also, lots of great contests, book drawings, a LEGO contest and more!  Stop into the library for more details!

We will be creating our Summer Reading mural on Wednesday July 6 at 6:30pm.  Bring the family in to add your part to the mural!

Leon Etienne, famed Illusionist, will be kicking off our summer reading on Friday July 8 at 6:30pm.  Stop in and see him perform some great magic!

Our annual book sale will be Saturday July 9 has been cancelled due to construction.  Stay tuned for one later this summer!

Join us for Prairie Day on Monday July 11 at 6:30pm.  Have fun as we explore this biome!  See what trouble we can get into!

Welcome to the Jungle on Wednesday July 13 at 6:30pm.  Have fun with us and join us for a jungle of a good time!

We are getting lost in the desert on Friday July 15 at 6:30pm.  See what kind of trouble we can get into while exploring the desert!

We are having a LEGO MANIA display contest!  Make a LEGO creation based on our summer reading theme. It could be about the world, our planet Earth, a book from another country; let your imagination run wild! All entries MUST be to the library for judging by August 6. Entries will be displayed in the library from August 8 through August 20. The PATRONS will judge and winners will be announced August 22.

We will be closed Monday July 4th to celebrate Independence Day.  We will reopen Tuesday at 10am.

We are open Monday, Wednesday and Friday 12pm to 8pm, Tuesday and Thursday 10am to 8pm and Saturday 10am to 4pm.

Help us celebrate the end of the school year as well as the beginning of summer on Friday June 24 at 6:30pm!

Join us for an enlightening discussion/talk “Loomis Lite” on Wednesday June 29 at 6:30pm.  Join Sue Greenhagen, Village Historian, as she shares with us about the Loomis Gang.  Be able to ask the matriarch of the Loomis Family, Rhoda Loomis, questions about this infamous group.

Father’s Day is coming soon!  Bring the kids in this Saturday June 18 at 10:30am as we make some gifts for the dads!

Join us for Magic Day this Friday June 10 at 6:30pm!  Come learn some simple magic tricks.  Bring your favorite trick to share!  Make some edible wands!

Join us and our Library Lizard, Lucky, on Wednesday June 15 at 6:30pm as we look at Eve Bunting’s Caldecott book winner, Smokey Night.  If you are between the ages of 7-14 come and have fun with this book!

Join us for Aquarium! this Friday June 3 at 6:30pm.  See some live aquatic animals and have fun learning about them!  NOTE- This program will be held at the fire house across the street.

On Saturday June 4 at 10:30am we will be having Sign Language Fun!  Come learn some simple sign language!  Learn what it’s like to use your hands to communicate with others!
