Family Bingo night is back this Friday October 1 at 6:30pm.  Bring the family in for a game or two.  All kids are guaranteed a prize and adults play for fun.

James McMann, local poet will be here on Monday October 4 at 6:30pm as he presents “Winter Dreams.” This new selection of poetry will draw on McMann’s love and respect for the prose of other poets and writers such as Poe, Arthur Miller, Oscar Wilde, and John Steinbeck.

Kiddies Korner is back on Tuesday October 5 at 9:30am.  Bring your preschool child in for stories, songs and more!  The topic being covered this week is “The Colors of Fall.”

We are having a Pasta Night on Friday October 8 at 6:30pm.  Make some cool things with pasta then eat dinner with us!  Various kinds of pasta will be here for eating!

Saturday October 9 at 10:30am is Survivor: Family Style.  Compete against other families to see who is the best!

Jim Teske, Meteorologist from 9WSYR, will be here on Wednesday October 13 at 6:30pm to share with us some of his gadgets for predicting the weather.

Join us on Friday October 15 at 6:30pm for Pioneer Night.  Join us as we learn about Pioneer life and try some of their food!

Our Pumpkin Coloring Contest begins on October 1!  Children from toddler age up to and including 6th grade may participate.  Stop in anytime during the month of October to pick up your entry form.  All entries must be returned to the library NO LATER than Saturday October 23 at 4pm.  Winners will be announced at our Halloween party.

The Library will be selling pumpkins again every Friday and Saturday beginning Friday October 1 through Saturday October 30 from 3-6pm.  Stop in and get your pumpkin from us!  No pumpkin will cost more than $5.  Supplies are limited so get yours early!

We will be closed Monday October 11 to observe Columbus Day.  We will reopen Tuesday at 10am.

We are open Monday, Wednesday and Friday 12pm to 8pm, Tuesday and Thursday 10am to 8pm and Saturday 10am to 4pm.

Join us this Friday September 24 at 6:30pm as we go a campin’ at the library!  Take one last camping trip with us before winter sets in!  Join us for an indoor camping event complete with edible campfires and more!

Don’t have a clue how to cook a thing?  All teens, kids and adults who want to learn a few simple recipes should join us on Saturday September 25 at 10:30am!  We will cook and eat what we make!

Join us on Monday September 27 at 6:30pm as Barbara Linsley, local children’s author, shares with us her new book, I Can Help on the Farm: An I Read You Read Book.  Copies will be available for purchasing and signing too.

Lucky the Library Lizard’s Caldecott Series is back on Wednesday September 29 at 6:30pm.  Come have fun with the 2003 winner, My Friend Rabbit by Eric Rohmann.

You will see a new face at the library these days.  Heather Jennings is our new Library Programmer.  She will be running the programs and working a little bit at the desk helping patrons.  She is a nursing student at Morrisville State College who lives in the area.  She has had lots of experience planning and facilitating children’s and adult programming.  Please stop in and welcome her!

Join Sue Greenhagen, Village Historian, on Monday September 13 at 6:30pm as she shares with us these amazing Civil War letters from Galutia York.  Galutia York was the oldest son of a farm family from Hubbardsville, New York.

To honor the Library Manager’s passion for the color purple, we will be doing a purple night on Wednesday September 15 at 6:30pm.  Join us as we play, learn and eat purple!  Library Aide, Samantha Merritt will unveil her purple hair for the hard work of the summer reading graduates!

The Library Board has changed their regular meeting from Tuesday September 21 to Tuesday September 14 at 6:30pm.  The public is welcome to attend.
