Kiddies Korner will be back on Tuesday November 30 at 9:30am.  Bring your preschool child in for stories about Pirates!

Join us for Lights of Hanukkah on Friday December 3 at 6:30pm.  Learn some things about the Hanukkah holiday!

On Saturday December 4 at 10:30am join us for a Christmas Treasure Hunt!  Bring the entire family in to interpret the clues and go through the steps to find the Christmas treasure!  Holiday goodies will be provided after the hunt!

Wednesday December 8 at 6:30pm, we will be having the History of Christmas Lights program!  Play some games, and do some activities as well as learn about how hanging Christmas lights came about!

On Friday December 10 at 6:30pm join us for Cozy Winter Reading!  Join us for our Family Reading Night and the theme is: Cozy Winter Reading: Jan Brett.  Join us as we share some stories by this beloved author, eat some goodies and make some things to take home.

The Library Board of Trustees will be holding a special meeting on Tuesday December 14 at 6:30pm at the library for an update on the USDA building project and paying of the bills; etc.  The public is welcome to attend.

After Thanksgiving, be sure to stop in and check out our newest Christmas tree creation by the Friends of the Library.  The theme this year is Eric Carle!

We would like to thank Samantha Rader for her time here as she leaves us for new places and opportunities.  We will miss her and wish her well!  Please welcome though, Jackie McCoy, our new Library Aide and friendly face you will see behind the desk!

We will be closed Thursday November 25 through Saturday November 27 to observe Thanksgiving.  We will reopen Monday November 29 at noon.

We are open Monday, Wednesday and Friday 12pm to 8pm, Tuesday and Thursday 10am to 8pm and Saturday 10am to 4pm.

Bring your lunch and join us for a book discussion on A Tree Grows in Brooklyn by Betty Smith this Friday November 19 at 12:15pm.  Copies can be picked up now!

Join us as we watch the classic Disney film, Fantasia on Friday November 19 at 6:00pm.  Refreshments will be provided.

Gaming Day is back on Saturday November 20 at 10:30am.  Bring your handheld gaming system or play some board games with others!

Join Jim Ford on Monday November 22 at 6:30pm as shares his new book: Sweet Cider Days: History of the Motts Co. in Bouckville.  Books will be available for purchase and signing too.

The Utica Zoomobile will be here on Wednesday November 24 at 1pm.  Bring the family in and as they share with us some great animals!

Lucky the Library Lizard will be discussing the Caldecott winner, So you want to be president? by Judith St. George on Wednesday November 17 at 6:30pm.  Join us as we have fun with this book!

Our building expansion project has begun!  Be sure to check out our blog (moplbuildingproject.blogspot.com) for pictures and updates as things progress.  Keep your fingers crossed that all goes well and we will be able to open the new addition in March 2011.

We received the Libri Foundation grant and were able to purchase 80 new children’s books (fiction and non-fiction).  Join us this Friday November 5 at 6:30pm as we unveil the new books, have some goodies and thank the Libri Foundation and our Friends of the Library.

Celebrate the donut with us this Saturday November 6 at 10:30am.  We will be learning some history about the doughnut and then decorating our own doughnuts!

Heard of Facebook but have no idea what it is or how to use this social network?  Join Library Staff, Samantha Rader & Heather Jennings as they teach us how to set up and navigate around this social network on Monday November 8 at 6:30pm.  Connect with your family and friends!

Wednesday November 10 we are having a family reading night at 6:30pm called Soup and Stories.   Listen to some great stories about soup then eat some delicious soup!
