Help us celebrate National Puzzle Day this Friday January 29 at 6:30pm.  We will play and create some wild puzzles and try to solve some even trickier ones!

Our next book talk will be Friday February 5 at 12:10pm.  Bring your lunch and join in the discussion of Richard Russo’s That Old Cape Magic.  Copies can be picked up at the circulation desk now.

What can you do with snow?  Well we are going to try and find out on Saturday February 6 at 10:30am!  Dress warm and join us outside the library as we explore all the fun things about snow!

Ladies be sure to join us on Monday February 8 at 6:30pm as ARISE comes and discusses Breast Cancer Awareness.

Kiddies Korner, our preschool story hour, meets again on Tuesday February 9 at 9:30am.  They will be hearing stories on “Valentine’s Day”!  If you can’t make that day, join us on February 23 for “Big and Little Bears”.

Lucky the Lizard’s Caldecott Series will occur again on Wednesday February 10 at 6:30pm.  It will be about the book, Invention of Hugo Cabret, by Brian Selznick.  Copies can be picked up now.  Join us as we talk about the book and do some cool things!

Friday February 12 is Pancake Day!  So join us at 6:30pm and try lots of different kinds of pancakes.  The night is sure to be yummy!!

Have fines you would like to pay off?  Help us with our food drive for the Morrisville Food Pantry and get rid of those fines!  For every item you donate to the drive, we will take $1 off your outstanding fines!  Clean up your account and help out a great organization!  Don’t have any fines?  Feel free to still drop off goods!  We will be collecting for the Food Pantry until the end of February.

I hope you are enjoying our new hours!  We are now open Monday, Wednesday and Friday 12pm to 8pm, Tuesday and Thursday 10am to 8pm and Saturday 10am to 4pm.

Family Movie Night is back this Friday January 22 at 6:00pm.  The movie being shown is Cloudy With a Chance of Meatballs.  Bring the family in to see this great movie on the big screen!  Refreshments will be provided.

Kiddies Korner, our preschool story hour, meets again on Tuesday January 26 at 9:30am.  They will be hearing stories on “Let it Snow”!  If you can’t make that day, join us on February 9 for “Valentine’s Day”.

When you stop into the library, be sure to check out Tim St. Hilaire’s Football Card Collection on display in the front foyer and the MECS High School Art exhibit in the program room!  Both will be on display through the end of February.

I hope everyone had a wonderful holiday season and is ready for a great 2010!  The library is!  You will notice a new face at the library this year!  Laura Jones from Madison is our new Programmer.  She will be working most evenings preparing and facilitating our programs for children, families and adults.   Help us welcome her to Morrisville and to the Library!

Let’s start the New Year off right with a Craft-a-palooza night this Friday January 15 at 6:30pm!  Join us as we make some zany crafts and have lots of fun!

The Library Board of Trustees will meet on Tuesday January 19 at 6:30pm in the program room.  The public is welcome to attend.

The Library will be closed on Monday January 18 to observer Martin Luther King Jr. Day. We will reopen Tuesday January 19 at 10am.
