Pumpkins for Sale! Every weekend we will be selling pumpkins! No pumpkin will cost more than $5. Stop in on the following days: Friday October 2 2-6pm, Saturday October 3 2-6pm, Friday October 9 2-6pm, Saturday October 10 12-3pm (during Apple Fest), Friday October 16 2-6pm, Saturday October 17 2-6pm, Friday October 23 2-6pm, Saturday October 24 2-6pm, Friday October 30 2-6pm, Saturday October 31 2-6pm. Please note: supplies are limited. Get your pumpkin early!!! Proceeds go to our building restoration fund.
Our Pumpkin Coloring Contest has begun! Children from toddler age up to and including 6th grade may participate. Stop in anytime during the month of October to pick up your entry form. All entries must be returned to the library NO LATER than Saturday October 17 at 4pm. Winners will be announced at our Halloween party.
Friday October 2 at 6:30pm, family bingo is back! Come play a game or two. Every child is guaranteed a prize and adults play for fun!
Monday October 5 at 6:30pm, the Attorney General’s Office will be back to do a program on Smart Seniors. Learn how to protect yourself from Internet scams, phony sweepstakes, investment fraud and much more!
Kiddies Korner, our preschool story hour, begins on Tuesday October 6 at 9:30am. It’s all about spiders and insects so bring your child in for stories, songs and more!
Friday October 9 at 6:00pm is Family Movie Night! The movie we will be watching is, Monsters vs. Aliens. Bring something comfy to sit in and a bag of popcorn to share!
Saturday October 10 from 12-3pm is our 5th Annual Apple Fest! Join us for apple-related games, apple trivia, face painting, a bake sale and lots more!! Be sure to enter our Chili Cook-off! Bring your best chili recipe to the library no later than 1:30pm that day. Judging begins promptly at 2:00pm. (Participants need not be from the Morrisville area.)

On Monday September 28 ay 6:30pm, join us for a Project Sunshine discussion hosted by the New York State Attorney General’s Office. They will be talking about how they are now restoring transparency and accountability to government. This is open to teens and adults.
On Wednesday September 30 at 6:30pm, join us as we play with play-doh. Have you ever wondered how play-doh was made? We will be making our own as well as reading some stories and playing games!

On this Friday September 18 at 6:30pm, Jim Ford will be at the library talking about his new book, The Pride of Cidertown: A History of the Bouckville Summits Baseball Team. This book features residents from the Town of Eaton. History buffs won’t want to miss this!
Join us on Friday September 25 at 6:30pm for Totally Turtles! Come listen to stories, make a turtle craft and visit with a real life turtle!

September is National Library Card Sign-up month! If you don’t have a little yellow card in your wallet…stop in today and get one! Kids, one to eighteen, are entitled to a card but must have a parent’s signature and adults 18 and over must provide a driver’s license or a state issued ID. We will not take college ID’s, etc. Get your card today and enjoy all that the library has to offer!

On Monday September 14 at 6:30pm, join us for an Identity Theft discussion. The New York State Attorney General’s Office will be talking about how to protect yourself from the dangers of Identity Theft. Be sure to come and learn about this!
In celebration of the movie, Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs, in theaters soon, we will be celebrating the book that started it all on Wednesday September 16 at 6:30pm. There will be stories, games, snacks and more!

The Library Board of Trustees will meet on Tuesday September 15 at 6:30pm in the program room. The public is welcome to attend.
Be sure to check out the front foyer display done by Da’an Wetherhill. Some beautiful gourds are on display now until the end of October. Also, coming soon to the program room is a display from the Morrisville Historic Preservation Commission, entitled “Where in the Village is…”.
