If you didn’t make it to our annual apple fest earlier this month you missed a lot of fun!  Winners of the apple trivia were: Crisi Marris (adult) and Toby Forward (children).  Chris Marris took first in the chili contest and Annette Popino took second.  Jennifer Forward won the guess how many apples contest with her guess of 697.  She was off by 4!  Congratulations to all of you!

Our Annual Halloween Party will be this Friday October 30 at 6:30pm.  Wear your costume and come and join us!  Listen to a story, play some games, and eat Halloween refreshments.  The winners of our coloring contest will be announced as well.

Kiddies Korner, our preschool story hour, meets again Tuesday November 3 at 9:30am.  It’s all about being silly so bring your child in for stories, songs and more!  If you can’t make that day, join them for “Let’s Give Thanks” on November 17.

Where the Wild Things Are is in theaters but we are having a night devoted to this beloved classic on Wednesday November 4 at 6:30pm.  Come hear the story, do a craft and play some games.

Join us for Family Movie Night on Friday November 6 at 6:00pm as we watch Ice Age 3: Dawn of the Dinosaurs on the big screen!  Bring something comfy to sit in and if you can bring a bag of popcorn to share!

Abide With Me by Elizabeth Strout is the next book talk on Friday November 13 at 12pm.  Copies can be picked up now at the circulation desk.

We will be closed on Wednesday November 11 to observe Veteran’s Day.

We are open Monday, Wednesday, Thursday and Friday 12pm to 8pm, Tuesday 10am to 6pm and Saturday 10am to 4pm.

Pumpkins for Sale!  No pumpkin will cost more than $5.  Stop in on the following days: Friday October 23 2-6pm, Saturday October 24 2-6pm, Friday October 30 2-6pm, Saturday October 31 2-6pm.  Please note: supplies are limited.  Get your pumpkin early!!!  Proceeds go to our building restoration fund.

Join us for Monsters and Werewolves on Friday October 23 at 6:30pm.  Get into the Halloween spirit and listen to stories, play games and make a spooky craft!

Join us on Wednesday October 28 at 6:30pm as we hear some ghost stories and the Library Manager shares the story of the Library ghost too!

Our Pumpkin Coloring Contest is almost over!  Children from toddler age up to and including 6th grade may participate.  Stop in now to pick up your entry form.  All entries must be returned to the library NO LATER than this Saturday October 17 at 4pm.  Winners will be announced at our Halloween party.

Our first book talk of the season begins this Friday October 16at 7pm.  The book, The Air We Breathe, by Andrea Barrett can be picked up now.  Read the book and come join in the discussion.

Concerned about Internet Safety?  Join us Monday October 19 at 6:30pm as the Attorney General’s Office shares with us on how to be safe while we surf the net.
