It’s ALMOST HERE! Read Beyond the Beaten Path, our Summer Reading Program runs from June 27-August 19, 2022. All participants (ages 1-17) must read a total of 12 hours over these weeks to be able to “graduate” and attend our graduation program as well as be entered to win prizes at the end of the program. ADULTS can also read again this summer with a chance to win a Read Beyond the Beaten Path gift basket at the end of the program!
This will be a HYBRID program. We will be having weekly activities that you can take home and do, activities that you can do in the library, some outside performers (many with rain dates), in person Story Time (outside on the back lawn, Facebook Live if raining), a few outside programs run by us and an in-person outside summer reading graduation ceremony! Be sure to stop in next week and get signed up!
Stop in Tuesday July 5-Friday July 8 and get your activity to do at home! This week will be Make Your Own Windsock! Craft kits are for kids ages 2-12 ONLY!
Join Library Manager, Michelle Rounds for Story Time, as she reads books, does songs and we make a craft about Cuddly Bears on Tuesday July 5 at 10:00am on the library’s back lawn! Please bring something to sit on! If it’s inclement weather, this event will be recorded on Facebook Live. It will be in our videos on Facebook until the end of summer reading. (If it’s virtual, stop in any time after the reading for the remainder of the week and get your craft!)
On Friday July 8 at 6:30pm join us OUTSIDE on the back lawn for Super Silly Circus Presents: Pirate Magic! A crazy Cast of Characters make their way through a magical Pirate Adventure that only our summer readers can help with! Filled with Magic, Music, Storytelling, Mixed-Up Mayhem, and if you watch closely, you might spot the dancing shark! Bring your own chairs, blankets, etc. to sit on. RAIN DATE is July 13 at 6:30pm. THE LIBRARY CLOSES AT 7PM SO BE SURE TO COME EARLY AND DO LIBRARY BUSINESS BEFOREHAND!
Join us on Saturday July 9 from 8am-2pm for our Summer Book Sale. Bring your own bags/boxes. Can’t make it Saturday? We have our Bag Sale Monday July 11 from 12-6pm. We provide the bags; all you can fit for $2! CASH only for purchases. Stock up for the nice summer weather of reading outside!
Join us for our Kreative Krafters group! It meets every Tuesday from 5pm-7pm in the program room. This is open to anyone who wants to work on a craft but never finds the time! All crafters welcome! If it’s a craft and you can bring it with you, then pack it up and come on over!
We have FREE COVID 19 at home tests. Stop in and get one today! (One per person present, age doesn’t matter!) We can bring them to you outside as well, if you call ahead!
The Morrisville Public Library is open Monday, Wednesday, Friday from 12pm-7pm, Tuesday and Thursday 10am to 7pm and closed Saturdays for the summer.

We are selling Krispy Kreme donuts and coffee NOW through June 15, 2022! See a trustee or stop into the library and place your order during these times. Then stop in and get your donuts (or see your trustee) on Thursday June 23 from 11am-7pm!
Kids take-n-make’s for June are out!! Make a glow in the dark bug and a camp sticker scene! (Only for kids 2-12 yrs. of age; while supplies last.)
Join us for our June book discussion! We are reading, City of Thieves by David Benioff! Look for our event on Facebook and join in the discussion from June 15-30, 2022! Or just read the book because we know you want to! Copies can be picked up now.

Then stop into the library and get the craft activity (handprint campfire) to take home and do! (Craft kits are only available until Thursday June 30 at 7pm, or while supplies last.) It’s almost time!! Starting June 27, 2022, all ages (1- adult) can sign up for our summer reading program, Read Beyond the Beaten Path! Start your reading as beginning Tuesday July 5, all the fun of summer reading begins at the library and at home!
We will be closed on Monday June 20 to observe Juneteenth. We will reopen Tuesday at 10am. We have resumed our summer hours and will be CLOSED every Saturday through Labor Day.
