SHHHH, we are hatching chicks this month!  You heard it right!  On Tuesday April 9 our story hour children got to see the eggs put into the incubator!  We also go to candle them!  We will do that for the next couple weeks until they hatch on April 30!  We will keep them for a week after they hatch so everyone can see them!  If you would like to see the eggs, chicks or any part of the process, please come see the Library Manager!

We are raffling off two children’s Easter Baskets!  Get your tickets at the library or from any library trustee.  $1 each!  Winners will be announced this Friday April 19, 2019!

This Friday April 19 please come and join us for our Easter Scavenger Hunt at 6:30pm!  All ages are welcome and everyone wins something at the end!

Bring the little ones in for Kiddies Korner, our preschool story hour on Tuesday April 23 at 10am!!  Help us have fun with “Creepy Crawly Bugs.”  Stories, finger plays a craft and more!  If you cannot make that day, join us on Tuesday April 30 for “Commotion in the Ocean!”

On Friday April 26 please join us for our Family Movie Night at 7:00pm!  We provide the popcorn so bring the family and your own beverage!  We are showing, A Dog’s Way Home!

Help us decorate a letter for our Summer Reading banner!  Stop in during library hours starting May 1 and get a letter to take home and decorate!  First come, first serve.  Open to kids ages 2-17!  Letters due back to the library by June 14, 2019.

Be sure to join us on Friday May 3 for our next Historic Talk for spring!  It will be Railroading in the Stockbridge Valley at 6:30pm.  Join John Taibi as he shares with us about the O&W railroad between Oneida and Whites Corners past his station at Munnsville!

We are open Monday, Wednesday and Friday 12pm to 8pm, Tuesday and Thursday 10am to 8pm and Saturday 10am to 4pm.

This Friday April 5 we will be hosting an Update on the Madison County Courthouse Renovations, historic talk, at 6:30pm!  This will be a special presentation by Madison County Historian Matthew Urtz on the ongoing Madison County Courthouse Renovations.  Urtz will speak about some of the unique architectural features, stories from the journal of builder HB Peckham and the upcoming Grand Re-Opening Celebration that will be taking place on May 25th, 2019.

This Saturday April 6 is our Spring Book Sale from 10:00am-4:00pm!  Come out and stock up for the nicer weather ahead!  Great deals and lots of new books to look through!  Sale to be held in the Library’s program room!

Please join us on Wednesday April 10 for Basics of Sewing Part 2 at 6:30pm!  Don’t know how to sew?  Need to remember how?  This is for you!  Come make an apron!  All material will be provided; please bring a sewing machine if you can!!!

NERF Battles is back for April!  If you are between 10 and adult sign up for our NERF Battles on Friday April 12 from 8:30-11:00pm.  Only 14 spaces available! If you are 5-9 years old, sign up for our NERF for Littles on Saturday April 13 from 4:30-6:30pm!  (Parents must stay on site for this one.) Only 8 spaces available! Everyone MUST sign up at the library to be able to get a permission slip.  NO phone calls.  All must bring a snack and beverage.

On Wednesday April 17 join us for our Book Talk at 6:30pm!  We will be reading, Leave No Trace by Mindy Mejia. Copies can be picked up now at the circulation desk! 

On Thursday April 18 join us for Sphero Fun at 10:30am!  This event is open to kids ages 8 and up!  We only have a limited number of spheros so depending on the children; they may have to take turns.  Come play around with Spheros and see if you can make them do what you want!  Can they follow a line, win a race, you tell us!?

Thursday April 18 join us for Easter Cards & Treats! at 6:30pm!  Come make 6 different cards and treat activities! Cost is $10 per set of 6 activities (payable the night of the program).  Jackie Groves of Librarystampers Creations will demonstrate how to use stamps and other tools to create these unique items!  This is open to ages 12 and up (but if someone younger wants to participate; a parent/guardian must come too!)  We must have 5 people signed up to have this event so please sign up now at the circulation desk!
