On Friday November 2 please join us for our Teen/Adult Movie Night at 7:00pm. We provide the popcorn, you bring your own beverage! We will be showing the movie, Mamma Mia: Here We Go Again! (It is rated PG-13 so we will not allow anyone in under 13 without a parent or guardian.)
The Board of Trustees Silent Auction begins on Monday November 5 at noon! Stop in and bid on several items today! Bidding ends on Friday December 7 at 8pm. Perfect gifts to give this holiday season! The silent auction is being held in the library’s program room.
Bring the little ones in for Kiddies Korner, our preschool story hour on Tuesday November 6 at 10am!! Help us have fun with “Going, going gone-Wheels!” Stories, finger plays a craft and more! If you cannot make that day, join us on Tuesday November 13 for “One World-Many Animals” with a special guest, Out of the Cage Pet Mobile!
Be sure to join us for BLOX, Lego Club on Wednesday November 7 at 4:00pm! Come join the fun! We provide the Lego’s; please come and show us your expertise! Topics change every time we meet but building and fun is what it’s all about! All ages are welcome (young and old)! Please bring a healthy snack too!
Be sure to join us on Wednesday November 7 at 6:30pm for our Adulting 101 program. The topic is Basic Budgeting & Money Management. This month CORE Federal Credit Union is hosting our class! There is no cost to attend the class and, as an added incentive, CORE will be giving away a $25 Visa gift card to someone in attendance.
On Friday November 9 please join us for Art Zimmer’s Virtual Walk Through Downtown Hamilton, 1950 at 6:30pm! Art Zimmer will conduct a virtual walk through downtown Hamilton storefront by storefront pointing out what business is in each storefront today and discussion what business was located there in the 1950’s. The talk is free and open to the public. The virtual walk does not leave the library.
Looking for a good book to read? How about joining our book talk on Wednesday November 14 at 6:30pm. We will be reading, Truly, Madly, Guilty by Liane Moriarty. Copies can be picked up now! Discussion open to teens and adults!
The Library Board of Trustees will meet on Thursday November 15 at 6:30pm in the program room. The public is welcome to attend!
Our Family Movie night will be Friday November 16 at 7:00pm! We are showing Incredibles 2! Popcorn is provided; bring your own beverage!
NERF Battle night will be Saturday November 17 from 4:30pm-7:00pm. Sign-ups begin November 1 at the library and be sure to get a permission slip as well. No one enters without a slip and signing up. Open to 10 and up (adults too!) Only 16 spaces available!
The library will be closed on Monday November 12 to observe Veteran’s Day. We are open Monday, Wednesday and Friday 12pm to 8pm, Tuesday and Thursday 10am to 8pm and Saturday 10am to 4pm.

Our 16th Annual Pumpkin Coloring Contest ends at 4pm on Saturday October 20 so be sure to turn in your entries by then! Open to toddler to 6th graders! Winners will be announced at our Halloween party at the end of the month.
The Library Board of Trustees are collecting items for the Silent Auction now until Friday November 2. Donations can be such things as hand-crafted items, artwork, gift certificates, donations from businesses, etc., with a minimum value of $5.00. They will not be accepting USED items. New or handmade is acceptable. The bidding begins on November 5!
Come join us for our Homework Club that meets every Monday through the entire school year from 3:30pm-5pm! Homework will be done, help will be provided and a healthy snack for all. Board games and/or crafts will also fill the time when homework is done. (Open to school age children from First grade-8th grade!)

This Friday October 19 we will be having a Nerf Battle Night from 8:30pm-11:00pm! Bring your own Nerf equipment (darts too–please label them) and join us for open play around the library! See if the library stacks provide you enough shelter from getting hit by a friend’s foam dart! Open to ages 10 and up; so adults are welcome too! Everyone must bring a snack and beverages will be provided. We only have 16 spaces so sign up now! (All people MUST sign up and get a permission slip prior to the event!!)

On Saturday October 27 we are having our annual Halloween Party at 1:00pm! Wear your costumes and join us for a spooky celebration! We will not only announce the winners of the pumpkin coloring contest, but play fun and games and make cool crafts too!

Every month we will host an Adulting class for patrons ages 15-25 (though all ages over 15 are welcome!) There are many things we may not know how to do and together we can learn! This month the Morrisville Fire Department is hosting our class on Wednesday October 10 at 6:30pm! Learn about fire safety in college dorms, apartments etc. and how you can stay safe!
We will host a special presentation by local author and historian Jim Ford entitled “The History of Madison Lake” on Friday October 12 at 6:30pm. Come and hear as Jim Ford talks about his new book and the history of one of the Town of Madison’s favorite recreation spots.
We are hosting our Fall Book Sale on Saturday October 13 from 10:00am-4:00pm! Stop in and grab some good books for the fall weather ahead! Stock up for winter too! Can’t beat the prices! We will have adult and kids books, DVD’s, books on tape or CD, music CD’s and more! The sale will be held in the library’s program room.
Our Annual Great Egg Drop will be Saturday October 13 from11:00am-3:00pm! We are partnering with the Morrisville Fire Department to bring an event of “egg-y” proportions! Can you create a “protective container” to house a raw egg? The event will take place at the Morrisville Fire House where we will place a raw egg in your creation and the firefighters will drop if from the raised ladder truck! Put your thinking caps on and protect your egg at all costs! All adults and kids are welcome to participate! The winner will receive a Kindle Fire! There will be fire safety activities and fun stuff to do for adults and children that day too! Great event for the entire family! So call or stop into the library and sign up to create your “egg-tastic” safe container now!
