Don’t forget we host “Play Mahjong!’ every Monday from 1pm-3pm!  Like to play Mahjong?  Want to learn how to play without using the computer?  Willing to teach young and old!  Come join the fun!

Join us this Friday June 2 for Family Bingo Night at 6:30pm!  Bring the family in and play a game or two.  All kids are guaranteed a prize and adults play for fun!  Refreshments will be provided!

On Wednesday June 7 join us for the BRAND NEW Magical History Tour at 6:30pm! Join Village and Town Historian, Sue Greenhagen, for an all new Magical History Tour!  Brand new places, photos and more!  Can you figure out where these houses are located?  **RESCHEDULED from Friday April 21, 2017**

On Wednesday June 14 please join us for our Book Talk at 6:30pm!  We will be reading, A Man Called Ove by Fredrik Backman.  Copies can be picked up now!  Discussion open to teens and adults!  So grab a book, read it and come join us for a sure to be fun discussion!

On Friday June 16 we will be having our last spring historic talk.  Please join Madison County Historian, Matthew Urtz, who will present “Madison County During WWI” at 6:30pm this evening.  In recognition of the 100th anniversary of the start of the “Great War”. Urtz will present the stories of soldiers and nurses abroad as well as what people were doing on the Homefront.

Summer Reading will be here before we know it!  Head on over to our website (www.midyorklib.org/morrisville) as all the details are there!  Mark your calendars now so you do not miss a thing!

We start our summer hours on Saturday May 27.  That means we will be closed Saturdays through Labor Day.  We are open Monday, Wednesday and Friday 12pm to 8pm, Tuesday and Thursday 10am to 8pm and closed Saturdays.

Be sure to join us this Friday May 19 for our Historic Houses of Eaton, historic talk at 6:30pm.  We welcome Madison County Historian, Judy Lyrek, who will present on Historical Houses in the Hamlet of Eaton. Lyrek authored the book Eaton’s Historic Houses, an architectural and historical survey of houses in Eaton, NY built before 1900 in 2007.  See photos and hear about these treasured homes!

Please join us for Kiddies Korner, our preschool story hour!  Bring your toddler or preschool child in on Tuesday May 23 at 10:00am.   Help us enjoy the topic, “I Scream for Ice Cream!” and help us to celebrate another great year of story hour!  We do plan to have a 5 week summer reading story hour for our younger friends that will run Tuesdays at 10am from July 11- August 8, 2017.  If you cannot join us this summer, we hope to see you the first Tuesday in October as our regular story hour resumes!

Up & Away with Balloons!”  Stories, finger plays, a craft and more!  If you cannot make that day, please join us on Tuesday May 16 for stories about “In My Pretty Garden!”

This Friday May 5 we will have our Family Movie Night at 7:00pm.  We provide the popcorn, bring your own beverage and join us! We will be showing the ever funny movie, Monster Trucks!

Looking for a good book to read?  How about joining our book talk as we will be reading Dead Wake by Erik Larson on Wednesday May 17 at 6:30pm.  The book looks at the sinking of Lusitania during World War I and the events surrounding the sinking. Copies can be picked up now! Discussion open to teens and adults!  So grab a book and come join us for a sure to be fun discussion!

Help us decorate a letter for our Summer Reading banner!  Stop in during library hours now until Friday May 26 and get a letter to take home and decorate!  First come, first serve.  Open to kids ages 2-17!  Letters due back to the library by June 16, 2017.

The library board of trustees will meet on Thursday May 18 at 6:30pm in the library’s program room.  The public is welcome to attend.
