If you haven’t turned in your pumpkin coloring contest entry yet, be sure to do so by 1:30pm on Saturday October 24!  Winners will be announced at our Halloween Party on October 30.

Be sure to join us on Friday October 23 for our Family Movie Night at 7:00pm.  We are showing the new 2014 version of Poltergeist! This is PG-13 so make sure if you are under 13 you bring your parent or guardian! Popcorn will be provided!  Just bring your own beverage!

Join us for Tai Chi Chuan Class Monday October 26 at 6:30pm. The group is facilitated by Morrisville State College Professor, William Snyder.  New people are welcome at any time!  Best part, it’s free!  If you can’t make this day, join them on November 2.

Kiddies Korner, has begun!  Bring your preschool child on Tuesday October 27 at 10am as we will be reading about “Trick or Treat-Halloween”!  Stories, finger plays, rhymes, crafts and more! If you cannot make that day, join us the following week on Tuesday November 3 for “Silly Monkeys!”

On Friday October 30 join us for our Halloween Party at 6:30pm.  Wear your costumes and join us for a spooky celebration!  We will not only announce the winners of the pumpkin coloring contest, but play fun games and make cool crafts too!

Join us on Thursday November 5 at 6:30pm for Essential Oils!  Join Robin Suarez as she helps us to better our lives naturally.  Essential oils are natural aromatic compounds found in flowers, seeds, bark, roots and other parts of plants. They are powerfully fragrant. They have been used throughout history for their medicinal and therapeutic benefits.

On Friday November 6 we are having our Teen/Adult Movie Night and we will be showing, Jurassic World, at 7:00pm.  We provide the popcorn; just bring your own beverage.  The library closes at 8pm, so if you have library business to attend to, please come early as the movie will end after we are closed!  NOTE: This movie is rated PG-13.  We will NOT let anyone under the age of 13 view the movie without a parent/guardian OR a note from your parent saying that it’s okay to watch.

We will be closing early on Saturday October 24 to get our carpets cleaned.  Be sure to conduct all your library business before 1:30pm that day!

We are open Monday, Wednesday and Friday 12pm to 8pm, Tuesday and Thursday 10am to 8pm and Saturday 10am to 4pm.

This Friday October 9 join us for a historic talk about Pvt. Lyons Wakeman at 6:30pm.  Join Civil War re-enactor, Melanie Martin, as she shares with us about this great “man”.

This Saturday October 10 the library will be hosting a portion of MHPC’s Landmark’s Day!  Join the MHPC at the Engine House up the street at 10am for the Marion Howlett Taylor Award.  After the presentation, walk down to the library for a Virtual Tour of our Local Landmarks presented by our Village Historian, Sue Greenhagen.  Then if you feel like taking a self-guided walking tour of the local Landmarks, grab a map and head on your way!  Grab some refreshments on your way out!

Our first book talk will be here soon on Friday October 16 at 12:15pm.  The book we will be discussing is James Scott’s The Kept.  Copies can be picked up now!
