We will be having a family movie night this Friday May 31 at 6:00pm.  Bring the family in for popcorn and the movie, Foodfight!.  This is the story of the after-hours antics of grocery store produce. This action packed family comedy is sure to have you rolling in the aisles!  Hope to see you here!

Come learn Tai Chi Chuan with Morrisville State College Professor William S. Snyder on Monday June 3 at 6:30pm.  He will be doing this class for free every Monday so teens and adults; this is your chance to learn this and have fun!  If you cannot make that day, he will be here again on Monday June 10.

On Friday June 7 at 6:30pm we are having a video game night!  Bring your handheld gaming system (DS, 3DS, or any other) OR come and play on our WII gaming system.  Play against other gaming enthusiasts!  Please make sure any games you bring have your name on them.  Feel free to bring a nutritious snack to share!

Join Madison County Historian, Matthew Urtz, as he completes his 3 part Madison County series entitled, The Mystery of Muller Hill on Friday June 14 at 6:30pm!  He will present the story of Louis Anathe Miller, the building of his home and tries to show empirical evidence that he was/was not the King of France in exile like what has been suggested.  It’s an interesting talk about one of Madison County’s most endearing characters!

Our last book talk until fall will be on Wednesday June 19 at 6:30pm.  Join us as we talk about the book, To Say Nothing of the Dog by Connie Willis.  Copies can be picked up now at the circulation desk.

Our summer hours will be taking effect on Saturday May 25 until Labor Day.  We will no longer be open on Saturdays during this time.  Please mark your calendars and make sure you get here by Friday to get something to read or watch!

We are open Monday, Wednesday and Friday 12pm to 8pm, Tuesday and Thursday 10am to 8pm and closed for the summer on Saturdays.

Kiddies Korner will meet again for one last time until next October on Tuesday May 21 at 9:30am.  Bring your preschool child in for stories and a special treat.  The books will be about ice cream so I wonder if you can guess what the treat is?  Thank you to Robin Suarez, Jackie McCoy and Janine Ashcraft for reading stories and making crafts all year with your little ones!

We are having our Share-A-Book, book talk this Friday May 3 at 12:15pm.  Bring a book or two (or more) that you would like to share with the group.  Bring your lunch and discuss all these favorites!   After, these will be compiled into our summer reading list for adults for 2013!

Kiddies Korner will meet again on Tuesday May 7 at 9:30am to read about gardening!  If you can’t make that day, join us May 14 to read about bugs and make a butterfly to take home!

Join Madison County Historian, Matt Urtz, for part two in his history series, Lost Industries in Madison County, on Friday May 10 at 6:30pm.  He will focus on industries that have come and gone in Madison County.  He will trace early 19th century Madison County industry all the way through the 20th century.  The county had a number of prominent industries that are longer around including glass production, steam engine production, tower clock production, cigar manufacturing, along with many more.  Numerous photos will be shown, as well as the stories behind these industries.  Be sure to join us in June for his last talk on “The Mystery of Muller Hill”.
