Join us for our lunch book talk this Friday April 19 at 12:15pm. We will be reading The Sandcastle Girls by Chris Bohjalian. Bring your lunch and join in the discussion. Book can be picked up now.
Come learn Tai Chi Chuan with Morrisville State College Professor William S. Snyder on Monday April 22 at 6:30pm. He will be doing this class for free every Monday so teens and adults; this is your chance to learn this and have fun! If you cannot make that day, he will be here again on Monday April 29.
Kiddies Korner will meet again on Tuesday April 23 at 9:30am to read about rainy day fun! If you can’t make that day, join us April 30 to read about airplanes and make a helicopter to take home!
Bring the family in on Friday April 26 at 6:00pm for our family movie night! The movie we are showing is Rise of the Guardians. Hope to see you here!
We are having our Share-A-Book, book talk on Friday May 3 at 12:15pm. Bring a book or two (or more) that you would like to share with the group. Bring your lunch and discuss all these favorites! After, these will be compiled into our summer reading list for adults for 2013!
Join Madison County Historian, Matt Urtz, for part two in his history series, Lost Industries in Madison County, on Friday May 10 at 6:30pm. He will focus on industries that have come and gone in Madison County. He will trace early 19th century Madison County industry all the way through the 20th century. The county had a number of prominent industries that are longer around including glass production, steam engine production, tower clock production, cigar manufacturing, along with many more. Numerous photos will be shown, as well as the stories behind these industries. Be sure to join us in June for his last talk on “The Mystery of Muller Hill”.

During the months of April, May and June we will be hosting a Madison County History series featuring Matthew Urtz, County Historian. He will be doing 3 different talks on Madison County. The first one is Friday April 12 at 6:30pm. He will focus on former residents of Madison County that impacted American History in positive ways. From politicians and social leaders, to entrepreneurs and scientists, Madison County residents have helped shape America as we know it today. This talk will feature photographs and the stories of some of the most influential residents Madison County has ever known! Mark your calendars now! Stop in and get a brochure listing the dates and descriptions of all three of his talks!
Our next book talk will be Wednesday April 17 at 6:30pm. Join us as we talk about the book The Elegance of the Hedgehog by Muriel Barbery. Copies can be picked up now at the circulation desk.
