Easier and more flexible for patrons! We had to return to limiting people inside the library due to the rising cases of COVID-19. But, after our first go-around with No Contact Pickup, listening to your thoughts and doing some research, we have revamped our process! See below!
1- Call us (315-684-9130), email us (firstname.lastname@example.org), place holds through our online catalog or fill out our complete new and improved and MUCH easier form: (NEED IDEAS of what to read CLICK HERE for our new materials webpage for or CLICK HERE for our web catalog.) FYI- we are still getting materials from our member libraries, so no worries if you want something we do not have! We can get it for you!
2- We will contact you once we have your items ready (kinda like when you order a pizza!) and you let us know when you can come get them! How do you do that? See #3 below! (Please give us at least 2 OPEN HOURS to prepare your order and wait for a confirmation email or phone call before heading over!)
3-Pick one of the days we are open (Monday-Friday 12-7pm, though pick ups end at 6:30pm), and your items will be waiting for you! As long as you get the bag with your name on it before we close on the day you pick, we are good! (Something comes up and you can’t make it? Just let us know by 6:30pm each day, otherwise anything left at the end of the day, gets re-shelved.)
4- Wear a face covering (as it’s required at the library), come inside the main entrance and you will find a table there. Find your name on a bag and take your materials; return any you might have out in the return bin and head on your way!
Other Services/Programs of Interest:
Giving Tree– Have items to donate for our giving tree or want to take some tags off the tree? No worries! We moved the tree to the main entrance for you and placed a giving tree donation box next to it!
Craft Activities/Program Items for pick up- Just call or email us and we will gather the materials and leave them in a bag with your name on the designated day you select for pick up!
Donations of Materials- Read our new book donation policy and have items to give us? Call or email us to make arrangements for us to receive them! (The policy is: We will ONLY take donations of: children’s books, large type materials, DVD’s, books on CD or two years current of fiction or nonfiction books. ALL ITEMS will be quarantined for 30 days before we touch the items. We cannot help you bring them into the library for the safety of our staff. NO ITEMS are to be left outside the library’s doors or put in our return bins.)
Need copies/faxes/ prints or landfill punch cards? Call or email us and we can make arrangements for these services! Notary Public is by appointment only so please email Michelle Rounds at email@example.com.
The inside door to the main library will be locked out of safety to the staff. Should you need assistance while on site, please call us at 315-684-9130.
No orders placed by the means above will be available for pick up outside our open hours.
We will not accept Facebook, Instagram or Next Door private messages as “orders” for materials. We are not on our social media accounts regularly so it could be days before we see these messages. Use the 4 means of contact above for faster service.
