Classics with Chelle– Book 1- The Boxcar Children by Gertrude Chandler Warner
Join us Wednesday evenings at 6:30pm as our Library Manager, Michelle Rounds, reads on Facebook Live a classic book! Fun for kids and adults! The first book is The Boxcar Children by Gertrude Chandler Warner.
(This will run September 23 until November 4.) It will be live on Facebook until December 31, 2020 when it will be removed.

October Book DiscussionEleanor Oliphant is Completely Fine by Gail Honeyman
We are bringing our book discussions back but with a twist! Read the chosen book and post your thoughts on our Facebook Book Log Event (https://www.facebook.com/events/1362483283950666/) from October 15 through October 28. Get your October book NOW by making a NO CONTACT PICK UP appointment or a 15 minute BROWSING appointment!

Morrisville Cemetery Hunt-If you did not do our hunt this summer for our summer reading program you can do it now for the month of October (or do it again)! Print the hunt here: https://morrisvillepubliclibrary.org/wp-content/uploads/2020/09/GraveyardHunt_oct.pdf. Go to the Morrisville Cemetery and complete this hunt! Turn it in to the library by Monday November 2 at 7pm and get a small prize! Open to all ages!

LIBRARY CLOSED-Columbus Day– The library will be closed on Monday October 12, 2020 to observe Columbus Day. We will reopen Tuesday October 13 at 12:00pm.

By Appointment Book Sale- COVID-19 got you down?  Need more reading materials?  Missing our seasonal book sales?  SO ARE WE!  So we are bringing back our book sales COVID style! We will be hosting our first BY APPOINTMENT BOOK SALE on Thursday and Friday November 5 and 6 from 12-7pm each day!  Call (315-684-9130) or email us: mrounds@midyork.org to sign up for your 30 minute slot today!  Appointments can be for you and 3 other members of your household!  No exceptions!  EVERYONE who attends MUST wear a face covering the entire time! Our same great prices apply:  Hardcovers $2 each or 3/$5, Paperbacks * $1 each or 3/$2 and DVD’s $3 each. If this goes over well, we would like to do it again in January so stay tuned!

LIBRARY CLOSED– The library will be closed on Wednesday November 11 to observe Veteran’s Day. We will reopen on Thursday November 12 at 12:00pm.

Join us Wednesday evenings at 6:30pm as our Library Manager, Michelle Rounds, reads on Facebook Live a classic book! Fun for kids and adults! This book is The Christmas Sweater by Glenn Beck. A book that’s a perfect reminder for the Christmas season. (This will run November 18 through December 23.) It will be live on Facebook until December 31, 2020 when it will be removed.

LIBRARY CLOSED– The library will be closed Thursday November 26-Sunday November 29 to observe the Thanksgiving holiday. We will reopen Monday November 30 at 12:00pm.

CLOSED December 17-January 3, 2021: Notice from the Morrisville Public Library Board of Trustees: The library will be closed for an extended period during the holiday season in anticipation of Covid-19 safety measures related to public health and local transmissions.  The library will be closing the evening of December 16 and will remain closed until the new year.  We encourage you to plan ahead and to allow us to help you make your selections to get you through the holidays.  We will resume operations on January 4, 2021 and we look forward to seeing you then!    

Christmas Stories with Chelle– Join our Library Manager as she reads us some of her favorite classic children’s Christmas stories! (The Night Before Christmas by Clement C. Moore, The Polar Express by Chris Van Allsburg, Dream Snow by Eric Carle and Night Tree by Eve Bunting) at 10:00am on Thursday December 24 (Christmas Eve)! This will be happening on Facebook Live! Open to anyone and all!
