Summer Reading is over! Thank you to the 84 kids who signed up and the 50 children who graduated! They are: Aysia, Indigo and Silas Bemont, Hannah, Levi, Nicolas and Noah Claxton, Jennifer and Toby Forward, Darren and Kirsten Grabow, Anna and Graham Harrington, Alexis and Evelyn Jayson, Alexis and Alicia LaFever, Cameron and Dale Lake, Collin and Wesley Luce, Kirston Markowski, Bradley and Tyler Marris, Jocelyn and Tristan Martin, John MBaga, Lyla O’Hara, Genevieve, Sebastian, Sullivan and Thaddeus Ohmer, Tyler Overton, Briana and Cassidy Rockwood, Briana and Ryan Selinsky, Molly-Anne and Rhothghar Smith, Avery and Owen Snyder, Calixto and Nick Suarez, Shelby Villnave, Kadin and Kameron Virkaitis, John, Katie and William Warner and Eric Zheng. Together they read over 1000 hours! Congratulations!!!
This Friday August 28 at 6:30pm, we will be hosting a gaming night. Bring your handheld gaming system and join other enthusiasts as you share games and fun! You can only bring 3 games and EVERYTHING must be marked with your name. Don’t have a handheld…lots of board games we have too!
Believe it or not, school will be back in session before we know it! Join us on Monday August 31 at 6:30pm for our End of Summer Bash. Hear some stories, make a craft and play some games. A party you won’t want to miss before school begins!
September might be back to school but the fun never ends at the library! Join us on Wednesday September 2 at 6:30pm for Fun with Flying Planes! Hear some stories, and do some wild and wacky things with these flying machines!
The Library will be closed on Monday September 7 to observe Labor Day. We will reopen on Tuesday September 8 at 10am.
Stop in and check out our new shelves today! We are open Monday, Wednesday, Thursday and Friday 12pm to 8pm, Tuesday 10am to 6pm and Saturday 10am to 4pm.

Summer Reading is over! Thank you to the 84 kids who signed up and next week I will list all who graduated. It has been a wonderful summer with all of you! Just because our program is over, keep reading and enjoy getting lost in a book!
On Friday August 28 at 6:30pm, we will be hosting a gaming night. Bring your handheld gaming system and join other enthusiasts as you share games and fun! You can only bring 3 games and EVERYTHING must be marked with your name. Don’t have a handheld…lots of board games we have too!

If you haven’t yet, please stop in to the program room and add your creative abilities to our walls! Yes, we have covered the walls and are letting people draw on them! Seeing the summer reading theme was “Get Creative”, we wanted to see how creative our community is! The mural will be hanging until the end of the month.

Our Summer Reading Program, “Be Creative @ your Library”, is almost over! Kids remember to read at least 10 hours before this Saturday August 15. Make sure to get your reading records turned in by that date to so you can attend the graduation party on Wednesday August 19 at 6:30pm.
This Friday August 14 Kingsley and the Shacklebolts will be performing at 6:30pm. If you are a fan of Harry Potter come join us and hear this wizard rock band from Cicero, NY play some Harry Potter music for young and old!
Joanne Bartlett, Phrenologist, has rescheduled her program for Monday August 17 at 6:30pm. Come have the bumps and fissures on your head read and see what they say about your personality!

This Friday August 7 at 6:00pm, we will be having family movie night. The movie is Coraline based on Neil Gaiman’s book. Bring something comfy to sit in and a bag of popcorn to share!

If the kids haven’t been in to check out all the new nonfiction books they should! I received a grant from the Lois Lenski Foundation and was able to purchase 80 new nonfiction books for the children! Ask at the desk and someone will show you where they all are. I have books on volcanoes, Cinco de Mayo, the Titanic, Endangered Animals, Diwali and lots of other holidays, Weather, Maps, King Tut, Seasons, Ghosts, Our Environment and lots more!
