This Thursday October 23 join us for “No Votes for Women” presentation/book signing at 6:30pm. Join local author, Susan Goodier, as she talks about her book, No Votes for Women: The New York State Anti-Suffrage Movement. She will explore the complicated history of the suffrage movement in New York State by delving into the stories of women who opposed the expansion of voting rights for women. Will definitely be an enlightening talk! Books will be available for purchase and signing at the end of the evening.
This Friday October 24 we are having our annual Halloween Party at 6:30pm! Wear your costumes and join us for a spooky celebration! We will not only announce the winners of the pumpkin coloring contest, but play fun and games and make cool crafts too!
Tai Chi Chuan Class meets again on Monday October 27 at 6:30pm. Join MSC Professor, Bill Snyder, as he facilitates this internal Chinese martial art. Best part- IT’S FREE! If you can’t make this day, they meet again on Monday November 10 too!
Kiddies Korner, our preschool story hour is in full swing!! Come join us on Tuesday October 28 at 9:45am for books and a craft about Halloween! If you can’t make that day, come hear stories about Sleepy Time on Tuesday November 4 at 9:45am!

On Wednesday November 5 we will have a presentation on Intro to Free & Open Source Software at 6:30pm. Not know what free or Open Source software is? Want to know what is out there for free to use? This is the program for you! Join James Nutt, from Odd job Computing, as he shows us! If you have a laptop, or other Internet device (i.e.-phone, e-reader, Kindle fire etc.) please bring it. If you don’t, that’s fine too! This is open to teens (12 and up) and adults.
On Friday November 7, we will be showing the movie, Deliver Us From Evil at 7:00pm. We provide the popcorn; just bring your own beverage. The library closes at 8pm, so if you have library business to attend to, please come early as the movie will end after we are closed! NOTE: This movie is a horror movie and rated R. We will NOT let anyone under the age of 17 view the movie without a parent/guardian OR a note from your parent saying that it’s okay to watch.
We are open Monday, Wednesday and Friday 12pm to 8pm, Tuesday and Thursday 10am to 8pm and Saturday 10am to 4pm.

Stop in to the library and pick up your pumpkin coloring contest entry today!! You have until October 18 at 4pm to turn in your creations for judging. Open to toddler to 6th graders! Winners will be announced at our Halloween party at the end of the month.
Join us this Friday October 10 for the “Live Oaks & Dead Folks” Historic Talk at 6:30pm. Join Village and Town Historian, Sue Greenhagen, for this virtual tour of the Oakwood Cemetery. Meet some famous, infamous, and even bizarre residents of the historic Oakwood Cemetery in Syracuse, NY.

This will prove solidly entertaining for families seeking a fast-paced, funny cartoon adventure. We provide the popcorn, you provide your beverage!

We will be closed on Monday October 13 to observe Columbus Day. We are open Monday, Wednesday and Friday 12pm to 8pm, Tuesday and Thursday 10am to 8pm and Saturday 10am to 4pm.
