This Friday April 30 at 6:30pm will be flower planting for kids!  Plant some May flowers ahead of the rhyme!  Come join in the fun!

Kiddies Korner, our preschool story hour, meets on Tuesday May 4 at 9:30am.  They will be hearing stories on “What’s in the Garden!”

On Wednesday May 5 at 6:30pm, teens ages 12 and older are welcome to attend our creative writing workshop centered around imagery.

Family Movie Night is back Friday May 7 at 6:00pm.  We will be showing Tooth Fairy featuring Dwayne ‘The Rock’ Johnson.  Refreshments will be provided.

On Saturday May 8 at 10:30am we will be making Mother’s Day gifts for that special lady in our lives!  Bring the kids in to make a gift for mom!

Community Supported Agriculture is about building community and engaging citizens in taking responsibility for the land on which their food is grown.  The farmer and the farm member share equally in the rewards and risks inherent in agriculture.  Join us Monday May 10 at 6:30pm for a conversation with representatives from Common Thread CSA.

On Monday May 12 at 6:30pm, Lucky’s Caldecott Series will be back and we will be talking about Kevin Henke’s book, Kitten’s First Full Moon.  Join us as we have fun with this book!

The last book talk of the season will be on Friday May 14 at 7:00pm.  Join them as they share a favorite book or two.  Bring your favorite books in and tell why you love them and help to create our summer reading list!

Lots of great books are on our new shelves waiting for you!  We are open Monday, Wednesday and Friday 12pm to 8pm, Tuesday and Thursday 10am to 8pm and Saturday 10am to 4pm.

Winners of the Easter Basket Raffle are:  the adult basket donated by Holly’s Garden- Carol Lambert and the two children’s baskets- Kristen Woodcock and Dave McDevitt.  Congratulations to all!  Winners were selected by 9 month old Landon Markowski.  Thanks Landon for helping me out!

We are having a beach party on Friday April 23 at 6:30pm!  Are you sick of being cold?  So are we!  Come to our beach party and forget about winter and enjoy spring!

Saturday April 24 from 10:30-12pm we will be having a mother/daughter tea.  Bring your mom or someone as cool as your mom and we will have a lovely old-fashioned time!

On Monday April 26 at 6:30pm, Sue Greenhagen, Village Historian, will share with us about one of the greatest racehorses of all time, a horse that was foaled right over in Waterville and even spent time right here in Madison County.  A true “rags to riches” story!

On Wednesday April 28 at 6:30pm, we will be having a poetry reading for teens!  Bring a poem(s) you wrote or one or more that you love just reading and we’ll share the spotlight!

Our next book talk will be this Friday April 16 at 12:15pm.  The book being discussed is Jodi Picoult’s Plain Truth.  Copies can be picked up now.

Also on Friday April 16 at 6:30pm, we will be having a Trash to Treasure night.  Are you at a loss for what to do with old magazines?  Come learn how to make beautiful collage art with scrap paper!

The Friends of the Library’s Annual Meeting is Monday April 19 at 7pm in the program room.  The public is welcome to attend.

The Library Board of Trustees will meet again on Tuesday April 20 at 6:30pm.  The public is welcome and encouraged to attend!

Family Movie Night is back this Friday April 9 at 6:00pm.  The movie being shown is Planet 51!  Bring something comfy to sit in and we will provide the popcorn!

Saturday April 10 at 10:30am, we will be having a Sibling’s Day!  Join us for silly picture fun and more!  Kids of all ages are welcome!

Join local greenhouse owner and plant lover, Brad Alcott on Monday April 12 at 6:30pm and discuss spring planting with him.

Lucky’s Caldecott series is back on Wednesday April 14 at 6:30pm.  Lucky wants us to look at Chris Raschka’s The Hello Goodbye Window.  Join us as we read this book and do fun things!
