The Morrisville Mayor has been found dead in the library! This is the first part of four of our Murder Mystery series. On Wednesday June 2 at 6:30pm we will study the crime scene for evidence. On Friday June 4 at 6:30pm we will be learning about codes and false leads. (Need not be present at all four parts.)
Join us Wednesday June 9 at 6:30pm for our next Lucky’s Caldecott night! The book we will be looking at and having fun with this month is The Man Who Walked Between the Towers by Mordicai Gerstein. Kids ages 7-14 are encouraged to come and have fun with us!
On Friday June 11 at 6:30pm, part 3 of our Murder Mystery series: Interrogation and Evidence will happen. Come and help with the next part to see who killed the Morrisville Mayor in the library! Then on Saturday June 12 at 10:30am join us for part 4 when the arrest will be made and we will uncover who did indeed kill the Mayor!
The Library will be closed on Monday May 31 to observe Memorial Day. We will reopen on Tuesday June 1 at 10am.

We are open Monday, Wednesday and Friday 12pm to 8pm, Tuesday and Thursday 10am to 8pm and Saturday 10am to 4pm.

Join us for a Civil War Talk this Friday May 21 at 6:30pm. Beth Spokowsky of the Smithfield Community Association will be joining us to discuss our neighbor, Peterboro NY’s involvement with the pre-Civil War era, involving abolition, famous folk and the Underground Railroad.
Join us this Saturday May 22 at 10:30am for a talk on Desert Ecosystems. Our programmer is going to the Southwest in early May but when she returns she will share about the desert ecosystems of Southwest America.
Come learn how to buy and sell on Amazon.com on Monday May 24 at 6:30pm. Join Library Manager, Michelle Forward, and Library Aide/Online Bookseller, Samantha Merritt for an introductory program for those wishing to set up an account to sell their old books and other items on Amazon.com. We will show how to set up an account, how to ship items, communicate with other sellers and buyers and more! This is a hands-on workshop and space is limited. Pre-registration is required.
On Wednesday May 26 at 6:30pm, ages 12 and up can come and learn how to draw using charcoal. Please wear clothes you don’t mind getting dirty!

I would like to thank Robin Suarez for all her hard work with Kiddies Korner over the past year. It would not be successful without Robin!! Thank you Robin! Kiddies Korner is over for the summer and will resume in the fall.

The last book talk of the season will be this Friday May 14 at 7:00pm. Join them as they share a favorite book or two. Bring your favorite books in and tell why you love them and help to create our summer reading list!
Kiddies Korner, our preschool story hour, meets on Tuesday May 18 at 9:30am. They will be hearing stories on “Ice Cream!” Then we will be serving ice cream sundaes to end another great year of story hour!

Family Movie Night is back this Friday May 7 at 6:00pm. We will be showing Tooth Fairy featuring Dwayne ‘The Rock’ Johnson. Refreshments will be provided.
On Saturday May 8 at 10:30am we will be making Mother’s Day gifts for that special lady in our lives! Bring the kids in to make a gift for mom!
Community Supported Agriculture is about building community and engaging citizens in taking responsibility for the land on which their food is grown. The farmer and the farm member share equally in the rewards and risks inherent in agriculture. Join us Monday May 10 at 6:30pm for a conversation with representatives from Common Thread CSA.
