This Friday December 2 will be our next book talk at 12:15pm. The book being discussed is Erin Hart’s Lake of Sorrows. Copies can be picked up now. Bring your lunch and join in the discussion.

Family Bingo Night is back on Friday December 2 at 6:30pm. Kids are guaranteed a prize and adults play for fun! Bring the family in for a game or two!

Join us for yummy, yummy Christmas Cookies on Wednesday December 7 at 6:30pm. We will be making some Christmas cookies and learning how this whole cookie thing came to be at Christmas time.

Family Christmas movie marathon weekend is here on Friday December 9 at 6pm and Saturday December 10 at 1:00pm. Friday night we will be showing A Christmas Story and Saturday we will be showing the cartoon version of How the Grinch Stole Christmas. Bring the family in for these timeless classics! Refreshments will be provided.

The children at Kiddies Korner will be hearing stories about Christmas on Tuesday December 13 at 9:30am. Bring your toddler or preschool child in for a sure to be good time of storytelling!

Our annual Open House will be on Friday December 16 from 5-7:30pm. Stop in and get some home-baked goodies, see the Jan Brett Christmas tree, and visit with some staff members, Friends members and Board Trustees. Take a break from the busy holidays with us!

We will be making gifts on Saturday December 17 at 11am. Bring the kids in to make a gift or two for a loved one this holiday season!

The library is looking for a children’s play carpet and a small wooden children’s table for our new children’s play area. If you have one or both you would like to donate please call the Library Manager, or email at mforward@midyork.org.

We are open Monday, Wednesday and Friday 12pm to 8pm, Tuesday and Thursday 10am to 8pm and Saturday 10am to 4pm.

We will be closed from Thursday November 24 through Sunday November 27 for the Thanksgiving holiday.  We will reopen Monday November 28 at noon.

Kiddies Korner will be reading stories about bedtime on Tuesday November 29 at 9:30am.  Bring your toddler or preschool child in for “It’s Time for Bed!”

On Wednesday November 30 at 6:30pm we will be “Rockin’ Around the Christmas Tree”!  Join us as we decorate a tree for the library’s program room!  Also make a countdown calendar for Christmas!  It will be here before we know it!

We will be learning about the history of Thanksgiving this Friday November 18 at 6:30pm.  Learn why this is such a wonderful holiday and have some fun too!

Wednesday November 23 at 1:00pm the Utica Zoomobile will be here with some new animals for us to learn, touch and have fun with!  Bring the family in for a good time before the Thanksgiving weekend!
