Our annual Canned Food/Hygiene Drive to benefit the Morrisville Food Pantry will continue until the end of February!  Please help us make it better than last year!  Please note:  We can only take UNEXPIRED items! We will ALSO collect hygiene products like soap, shampoo, toothpaste and toothbrushes etc. for the Pantry as well!

Thursday February 20 we are pleased to host the Madison County Sheriff’s Robot Demonstration & Operation Safe Child ID program at 2:00pm!  Sergeant Chapman will be here to show us their crime fighting robot! Open to all ages; young or old! AND, when was the last time you had an ID card made of your child through the Sheriff’s Operation Safe Child Program?  Or have you never done it? After the robot, stay and get your child’s ID card or update it today!

This Saturday February 22 will be our next NERF Battle Night from 4:30pm-7:00pm.  Bring your own Nerf equipment (darts too–please label them) and join us for open play around the library! See if the library stacks provide you enough shelter from getting hit by a friend’s foam dart! Open to ages 7 and up; so adults are welcome too! Everyone must bring a snack and a drink. We only have 14 spaces so sign up now!

Join us for Kiddies Korner, our preschool story hour, on Tuesday February 25 at 10:00am!  Help us have fun as we read about “Bath Time and Bubbles!”  Stories, finger plays a craft and more!  If you can’t make that day, join us on March 3 for “Happy Cows”!

Know how to crochet and want to join others? Want to learn how? Come join us on Monday March 9 at 6:30pm! Bring what you are working on or if you are new, bring a G or H hook and a skein of yarn and we can get you started!  We meet every month so mark us down now!

We are open Monday, Wednesday and Friday 12pm to 8pm, Tuesday and Thursday 10am to 8pm and Saturday 10am to 4pm.

Join us for Kiddies Korner, our preschool story hour, on Tuesday February 11 at 10:00am!  Help us have fun as we read about “Slithery Snakes!”  Stories, finger plays a craft and more!  If you can’t make that day, join us on February 18 for “Fly Me to the Moon”!

On Monday February 10 we will be hosting our Learn to Crochet program at 6:30pm!  Always wanted to learn how to make those cute afghans? Need a refresher? Come join Tanya DeCock as she teaches us how to crochet. All participants MUST bring a skein of yarn and a G or H crochet hook. We will start by learning a scarf and go from there! If you attended last month, bring what you did and we shall continue on!

On Wednesday February 19 join us for a Movie Matinee at 2:00pm! It’s winter break and you are looking for something to do? Come to the library and watch a new to DVD movie! Want to know what we are showing?  You will surely not want to miss this movie!  Contact the library or check out this link for more details: https://morrisvillepubliclibrary.org/events/movie-nights-the-library/.  Popcorn is free; bring your own beverage! Parents- please make arrangements with the Library Manager (mrounds@midyork.org) if you want to leave your children for the movie and come back after!

Wednesday February 19 is our next book talk at 6:30pm.  The book we plan to read is Louis Bayard’s book, Courting Mr. Lincoln! Stop in and get your copy now and then come join in the discussion with us!

We are having an 80’s Murder Mystery Party on Friday February 21 at 6:30pm!  OPEN TO AGES 12 and UP ONLY!!! Stop in and sign up anytime from February 1-18! YOU MUST ATTEND so please do not sign up and then not show. After you sign up, you will be contacted by the Library Manager with your “character” for the mystery party. Feel free to “dress” your part and look over the information she gives you! Be prepared for a fun evening! Like, oh my gosh, we will be havin’ an 80’s party!
