Our annual Canned Food Drive to benefit the Morrisville Food Pantry has begun and will continue until the end of February!  Please help us make it better than last year!  Please note:  We can only take UNEXPIRED items!

This Friday January 25 please join us for our Family Movie Night at 7:00pm!  We will be showing Goosebumps 2: Haunted Halloween!  We provide the popcorn; just bring your own beverage!

Bring the little ones in for Kiddies Korner, our preschool story hour on Tuesday January 29 at 10am!!  Help us have fun with “Let’s Have a Party!”  Stories, finger plays a craft and more!  If you cannot make that day, join us on Tuesday February 5 for “Get Well Soon!”

On Monday February 4- Monday April 15, we begin doing our program, Free Tax Prep for Seniors!  RSVP with the support of the Morrisville Public Library will offer free income tax preparation for seniors 60 years and older.  RSVP volunteers will be providing FREE income tax services from February 4 through April 15. Volunteers are certified by the IRS to complete your tax forms. Please call Cooperative Extension AFTER February 1 at 315-684-3001 to sign up for your appointment to have your tax returns filed free of charge.

Please join us on Friday February 8 for Valentine Cards & Treats at 6:30pm!  (There is a snow date of Saturday February 9 at 2pm just in case!)   Come make 2 valentines for a special someone and 2 sweet treat holders too!  Cost is $10 per set of 4 activities (payable the night of the program).  Jackie Groves of Librarystampers Creations will demonstrate how to use stamps and other tools to create these unique items!  This is open to ages 12 and up (but if someone younger wants to participate; a parent/guardian must come too!)  We must have 5 people signed up to have this event so please sign up now at the circulation desk!

On Wednesday February 13 we will be having our Adulting 101-Topic: Basics of Sewing Part 1 which was RESCHEDULED FROM JANUARY 9!  Don’t know how to sew?  Need to remember how?  This is for you!  Learn the basics of sewing and leave with your own potholder created by YOU!  If you have a sewing machine or can borrow one, please bring it!   ALL participants need to bring ½ yard of material as well!  All other materials will be provided.

We are open Monday, Wednesday and Friday 12pm to 8pm, Tuesday and Thursday 10am to 8pm and Saturday 10am to 4pm.

This Friday January 11 we will be having our Teen/Adult Movie Night at 7:00pm.  We will be showing the 2018 version of Little Women!  It is rated PG-13 so we will not allow kids under 13 in without a parent or guardian.   As always, we provide the popcorn; you bring your beverage!

Looking for a good book to read?  How about joining our book talk on Wednesday January 16 at 6:30pm as we will be reading, My Name is Lucy Barton by Elizabeth Strout.  Copies can be picked up now!  Discussion open to teens and adults!  So grab a book, read it and come join us for a sure to be fun discussion!

We are hosting NERF Nights in January!  Kids 10 and up on Friday January 18 from 8:30-11pm and NERF for Littles (ages 4-8 ONLY) on Saturday January 19 from 4:30-7pm (Parents must stay on site for the Littles one.)  Stop into the library starting January 2 and sign up for one or the other!  Make sure to get a permission slip for each child as we will not allow kids to play if they don’t arrive with one all completed!

The Library Board of Trustees will meet on Thursday January 17 at 6:30pm in the program room.  The public is welcome to attend!

The library will be closed on Monday January 21 to observe Martin Luther King Jr. Day.  We will reopen Tuesday at 10am.
