This Friday, September 25 join us for our Family Movie Night at 7:00pm.  We will be showing the new version of Cinderella.  We provide the popcorn; just bring your own beverage.  The library closes at 8pm, so if you have library business to attend to, please come early!

Tai Chi Chuan Classes are back at the library starting Monday September 28 at 6:30pm.  The group is facilitated by Morrisville State College Professor, William Snyder.  They meet every Monday at 6:30pm until June.  New people are welcome at any time!  Best part, it’s free!  If you can’t make this day, join them on October 5.

Kiddies Korner, our preschool story hour begins soon!  Bring your preschool child to the library starting Tuesday October 6 at 10am!  Every week we will have new topics to read about!  Stories, finger plays, rhymes, crafts and more!  A great hour of fun!  On October 6 we will be reading about “fall leaves fall!”  If you cannot make that day, join us the following week on Tuesday October 13 for “going on a bear hunt!”

Join Robin Suarez as she helps us to better our lives naturally through Essential Oils on Thursday October 8 at 6:30pm.  Essential oils are natural aromatic compounds found in flowers, seeds, bark, roots and other parts of plants. They are powerfully fragrant. They have been used throughout history for their medicinal and therapeutic benefits.

On Friday October 9 join us for a historic talk about Pvt. Lyons Wakeman at 6:30pm.  Join Civil War re-enactor, Melanie Martin, as she shares with us about this great “man”.

On Saturday October 10 the library will be hosting a portion of MHPC’s Landmark’s Day!  Join the MHPC at the Engine House up the street at 10am for the Marion Howlett Taylor Award.  After the presentation, walk down to the library for a Virtual Tour of our Local Landmarks presented by our Village Historian, Sue Greenhagen.  Then if you feel like taking a self-guided walking tour of the local Landmarks, grab a map and head on your way!  Grab some refreshments on your way out!

Our first book talk will be here soon on Friday October 16 at 12:15pm.  The book we will be discussing is James Scott’s The Kept.  Copies can be picked up now!

We will be closed on Monday October 12 to observe Columbus Day.  We are open Monday, Wednesday and Friday 12pm to 8pm, Tuesday and Thursday 10am to 8pm and Saturday 10am to 4pm.

This Friday, September 11 we will be having a Teen/Adult Movie Night at 7:00pm.  We will be showing the movie, Insurgent.  We provide the popcorn; just bring your own beverage.  The library closes at 8pm, so if you have library business to attend to, please come early!  NOTE: This movie is PG-13 so we will NOT let anyone under the age of 13 view the movie without a parent/guardian.

On Friday September 18 join us for a historic talk on the Morrisville Engine House at 6:30pm.  Join Village and Town Historian, Sue Greenhagen, as she shares with us about the history of this amazing building!  It was slated to be torn down, but the MHPC got involved and are currently restoring it.  See how far it has come!

The Library Board of Trustees will meet again on Thursday September 17 at 6:30pm.  The public is welcome to attend.
