John Taibi Railroad Talk– Be sure to join us on Friday September 23 at 6:00pm as we host John Taibi and another railroad presentation! “This evening we’re going to climb aboard a special O&W excursion train at Morrisville Station and ride down to Norwich and on to the Lyon Brook Bridge, which was the railroad’s engineering landmark. During the railroad’s earliest days, passengers and local folks marveled at the 820-foot long, 165-foot high bridge, and how it was able to support the weight of a passing train. But, it did, and still does, if only in “Remembering the Lyon Brook Bridge.” Warning: If you’re afraid of heights you may wish to bring a companion along to hold onto when we get out on the bridge.”
