Friday November 1- Saturday January 18, 2020Giving Tree Fundraiser
Shop for the library this holiday season!  We have several items the library needs! It’s EASY!  Grab a Christmas tag off our giving tree of something you would like to donate to the library.  Buy it, donate it, whatever it says and bring the tag and the item in as soon as you can!  We would like all donations turned in by January 31, 2020.

Friday November 1Family Movie Night- 7:00pm
We provide the popcorn, you bring your own beverage!  We will be showing the movie, Lion King (2019 live-action version)! 

Monday November 4– Silent Auction begins!
Stop in and bid on several items today!  Bidding ends on Friday December 13 at 8pm.  Perfect gifts to give this holiday season!  The silent auction is being held in the library’s program room.

Tuesday November 5Kiddies Korner- 10:00am
Bring your preschool child in to hear some stories about “Going, Going, Gone-Wheels”!  Finger plays, songs a craft and more!

Wednesday November 6– Frank Martorana Book Signing/Talk- 6:30pm
Join us for a reading and book signing of “Simpatico’s Gift“, with local author and veterinarian, Frank Martorana!  “Simpatico’s Gift” is Martorana’s second installment in the Kent Stephenson Thriller Series. Book #1, “Taking on Lucinda”, was released in 2018!  Martorana is a graduate of the College of Veterinary Medicine at Cornell University. He established the Hamilton Animal Hospital in 1993 and has operated it since that time. Over the years, he has been the “family doctor” for countless horses, cows, dogs, cats, and many other creatures in and around Madison County. His experiences with clients and animals, some humorous and others heart-rending, provide the backdrop for his novels.

Friday November 8Canadian Mustangs over CNY – 6:30pm
We will host a special presentation by Jim Coulthart entitled “Canadian Mustangs over Canastota & CNY.” Coulthart will tell the story of World War II fighter planes that were purchased from Canada and flown to Syracuse and Canastota. The international story weaves together a Canadian Prime Minister, two enterprising CNY businessmen, 70+ high performance piston fighter aircraft, mercenary pilots and two local airfields. 

Monday November 11LIBRARY CLOSED to observe Veteran’s Day

Tuesday November 12Kiddies Korner- 10:00am
Bring your preschool child in to hear some stories about “Counting and Numbers”!  Finger plays, songs a craft and more!

Friday November 15Nerf Battle Night- 8:30pm-11:00pm
Bring your own Nerf equipment (darts too–please label them) and join us for open play around the library!  See if the library stacks provide you enough shelter from getting hit by a friend’s foam dart!  Open to ages 7 and up; so adults are welcome too!  Everyone must bring a snack and beverages will be provided.  We only have 14 spaces so sign up starting November 1!

Bring your preschool child in to hear some stories about “Yummy Chocolate!”

Wednesday November 20 Book Talk- 6:30pm
Looking for a good book to read?  How about joining our book talk as we will be reading, The Book Woman of Troublesome Creek by Kim Michele Richardson.  Copies can be picked up on October 16 or after!  Discussion open to teens and adults!  So grab a book, read it and come join us for a sure to be fun discussion!

Thursday November 21Library Trustees Board Meeting- 6:30pm
The public is welcome and encouraged to attend.

Friday November 22Family Movie Night- 7:00pm
We provide the popcorn, you bring your own beverage!  We will be showing the movie, Angry Birds 2! 

Monday NOvember 25-December 20- Letters to Santa!
It’s Christmastime and Santa wants to hear from you! Stop in to the library and write your letter to Santa with all your Christmas wishes on it! Make sure you address the back of the paper when you fold it, so we can deliver it to the North Pole for you! Slip it into our special letters to Santa mailbox at the circulation desk! Open to all ages; young and old!

Bring your preschool child in to hear stories about giving thanks and “Thanksgiving!”

Wednesday November 27Utica Zoomobile- 1:00pm
The Utica Zoo will be bringing a few of their animals for us to see, learn about and touch.  Bring the family in for a good time with these animals!

Thursday November 28- Saturday November 30– LIBRARY CLOSED for the Thanksgiving holiday!
